Invoked, 53-45: Motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #262 Maria A. Lanahan to be United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Missouri.

Invoked, 53-46: Motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #291 Edward L. Artau to be United States District Judge for the Southern District of Florida.

Agreed to, 83-13: Motion to proceed to Cal. #115, S.2296, FY2026 NDAA.

The Senate will convene at 3:00pm on Monday, September 8th, 2025.

At 5:30pm, the Senate will vote on confirmation of Executive Calendar #291 Edward L. Artau to be United States District Judge for the Southern District of Florida.

Cloture has been filed on:

  1. Executive Calendar #269 Robert Law, of the District of Columbia, to be Under Secretary for Strategy, Policy, and Plans, Department of Homeland Security, vice Robert Peter Silvers, resigned.
  2. Executive Calendar #293 Kyle Christopher Dudek, of Florida, to be United States District Judge for the Middle District of Florida, vice Charlene Edwards Honeywell, retired.
