The Senate convened at 3:00pm.

The Senate will next convene at 2:00pm on Tuesday, February 24th, 2026.

Following the prayer and pledge, Senator Kaine will be recognized to deliver Washington’s Farewell address. Following the Address, the Senate will be in a period of Morning Business with Senators permitted to speak therein for up to 10 minutes each.

At 5:00pm, the Senate will proceed to a roll call vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the motion to proceed to H.R.7147, an act making further consolidated appropriations for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2026, and for other purposes.

At 8:20pm, Senators will gather in the Senate chamber to proceed as a body to the House for the State of the Union.

On Monday, February 23rd, Senator Barrasso filed cloture on the nomination of John DeLeeuw, of Texas, to be a Member of the National Transportation Safety Board for the remainder of the term expiring December 31, 2026.

  2. Passage of Cal. #454, H.R.5334, legislative vehicle for the Lindsey O. Graham Sanctioning Russia Act of 2026, as amended. (60-vote affirmative threshold)
  3. Confirmation of the en bloc nominations provided for under the provisions of S.Res.817.
  4. Motion to invoke cloture on Collins substitute amendment #6732 to Cal. #320, H.R.6500, legislative vehicle for a Continuing Resolution.
