By a vote of 51-46, the Senate agreed to the motion to proceed to Executive Session for the consideration of the nomination of Russell Vought to be Director of the Office of Management and Budget.

Leader Thune filed cloture on the nomination of Russell Vought to be Director of the Office of Management and Budget.

Confirmed, 59-38: Confirmation of Executive Calendar #10 Christopher Wright to be Secretary of Energy.

Cloture Invoked, 52-46: Motion to Invoke Cloture on Pamela Bondi to be Attorney General.

The Senate will convene at 11:00am on Tuesday, February 4th.

At 12:15pm, the Senate will proceed to a roll call vote on confirmation of Executive Calendar #7 Douglas Collins to be Secretary of Veterans Affairs.

Following the Collins vote, the Senate will recess until 2:15pm for the weekly party lunches.

Absent an agreement, the confirmation vote on Pamela Bondi to be Attorney General will occur at 1:00am on Wednesday, February 5th.

The Senate will convene at 10:00am on Thursday, July 10, 2025.

At 11:00am, the Senate will proceed to two roll call votes relative to the following:

  1. Motion to invoke cloture on the nomination of Jonathan Gould to be Comptroller of the Currency for a term of five years.
  2. Motion to invoke cloture on the nomination of Whitney D. Hermandorfer to be United States Circuit Judge for the Sixth Circuit.

If cloture is invoked on the Hermandorfer nomination, all post-cloture time will be considered expired, and the Senate will vote on confirmation of the nomination at a time to be determined on Monday July 14th by the Majority Leader in consultation with the Democratic Leader.

At approximately 1:45pm, if cloture is invoked, the Senate will proceed to a roll call vote on confirmation of the Gould nomination.
