Leader Thune sent an Executive Resolution to the Desk – S. Res. 377 (Authorizing the En Bloc consideration in Executive Session of certain nominations on the Executive Calendar). In order to place the Executive Resolution on the Calendar, Thune objected to his own request.
The Senate will convene at 10:00am on Tuesday, September 9, 2025.
Two votes at 11:45am:
- Confirmation of Maria A. Lanahan to be United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Missouri.
- Motion to Invoke Cloture on Robert Law to be Under Secretary for Strategy, Policy, and Plans, Department of Homeland Security.
