The Senate convened for the Second Session of the 117th Congress at 12:00 Noon.
Cloture was filed on the nomination of Anne Witkowsky to be an Assistant Secretary of State for Conflict and Stabilization Operations. The vote on the Sanchez nomination will now occur on Tuesday at 12:00 noon, after which the Senate will recess to accommodate the Tuesday luncheons.
At 12:17 PM, the Senate adjourned.
The Senate will convene at 10:00am on Thursday, March 27th.
At approximately 11:20am, the Senate will vote on Cal. #34, S.J.Res.18, Scott (SC) Overdraft Price Control CRA.
Upon dispensation of the joint resolution, the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the nomination of Executive Cal. #43 Paul Lawrence to be Deputy Secretary of Veteran Affairs.
If cloture is invoked, the Senate will vote on confirmation of the nomination at approximately 2:00pm.
