By a vote of 49-49, the Senate did not agree to S.J. Res. 60, Scott (SC) Charter School CRA.

The Senate confirmed by voice vote Executive Calendar #1255, Elizabeth Frawley Bagley to be Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to the Federative Republic of Brazil.

Confirmed, 51-45: Executive Calendar #1053, Francisco O. Mora, of Florida, to be Permanent Representative of the United States of America to the Organization of American States, with the rank of Ambassador.

The Senate will convene at 10:00am on Thursday, December 15th, 2022.

At 12:00 Noon, the Senate will proceed to a roll call vote on confirmation of Executive Calendar #861, Musetta Tia Johnson to be a Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces.

Tonight, Leader Schumer filed cloture on the following:

  1. Motion to concur in the House amendment to H.R.7776 (legislative vehicle for NDAA FY2023), with Manchin amendment #6513 (To provide for American energy security by improving the permitting process).
  2. Leader Schumer filed cloture on the motion to concur in the House amendment to H.R.7776 (legislative vehicle for NDAA FY2023).

During wrap up, by unanimous consent, the Senate passed S. 1143, a bill to prohibit certain individuals from downloading or using TikTok on any device issued by the United States or government corporation.

At approximately 12:00pm, the Senate will vote on passage of Cal. #203 S.J.Res.82, disapproving the rule submitted by the Office of the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services relating to “Policy on Adhering to the Text of the Administrative Procedure Act”. Following disposition of S.J.Res.82, the Senate will resume consideration of the en bloc nominations listed in S.Res.532, post-cloture.
