Following Leaders’ remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of Calendar #25 S.316, to repeal the authorizations for use of military force against Iraq.

At 5:30pm, the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on S.316.

Leader Schumer filed cloture on the motion to proceed to Cal. #28, S.870, Fire Grants and Safety Act.

By a vote of 65-28, the Senate invoked cloture on Cal. #25, S.316, A bill to repeal the authorizations for use of military force against Iraq.

The Senate adjourned at 7:35pm.
