By a vote of 64-29, the Senate invoked cloture on Executive Calendar #2 Ravi Chaudhary to be an Assistant Secretary of the Air Force.

By a vote of 65-29, the nomination of Ravi Chaudhary, of Virginia, to be an Assistant Secretary of the Air Force is confirmed.

Invoked by a vote of 68-26: Executive Calendar #18 Laura Taylor-Kale to be an Assistant Secretary of Defense.

Floor Schedule

The Senate stands in recess until Monday, February 23, 2026, other than for pro forma sessions on the following dates, during which no business shall be conducted:

The Senate will next convene at 3:00pm on Monday, February 23rd. Following the prayer and pledge, Senator Kaine will be recognized to deliver Washington’s Farewell address. Following the Address, the Senate will be in a period of Morning Business with Senators permitted to speak therein for up to 10 minutes each.

At approximately 5:30pm, the Senate will proceed to a roll call vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the motion to proceed to H.R.7147, an act making further consolidated appropriations for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2026, and for other purposes.
