Cloture invoked, 61-26: Motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #19, Radha Iyengar Plumb to be a Deputy Under Secretary of Defense.

The Senate will convene at 10:00am on Tuesday, April 18, 2023.

At 11:30am, the Senate will proceed to two roll call votes:

  1. Confirmation of Executive Calendar #19 Radha Iyengar Plumb to be a Deputy Under Secretary of Defense.
  2. Motion to Invoke Cloture on Executive Calendar #57 Amy Lefkowitz Solomon to be an Assistant Attorney General.

Following the cloture vote on the Solomon nomination, the Senate will recess until 2:15pm to allow for the weekly party caucus lunches.

At 2:15pm, the Senate will proceed to two roll call votes:

  1. Confirmation of Executive Calendar #57 Amy Lefkowitz Solomon to be an Assistant Attorney General (if cloture is invoked).
  2. Motion to Invoke Cloture on S.870, Fire Grants and Safety Act.

At 5:00pm, the Senate will proceed to a roll call vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the motion to proceed to H.R.7147, an act making further consolidated appropriations for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2026, and for other purposes.

At 8:20pm, Senators will gather in the Senate chamber to proceed as a body to the House for the State of the Union.

On Monday, February 23rd, Senator Barrasso filed cloture on the nomination of John DeLeeuw, of Texas, to be a Member of the National Transportation Safety Board for the remainder of the term expiring December 31, 2026.
