By voice vote, the Senate confirmed Karen H. Sasahara to be U.S. Ambassador to the State of Kuwait

The Senate will convene at 10:00am on Tuesday, October 17, 2023.

Two votes at 11:30am:

  1. Confirmation of the nomination of Jennifer L. Hall to be United States District Judge for the District of Delaware.
  2. Motion to Invoke Cloture on the nomination of Julia Kathleen Munley to be United States District Judge for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.

Following the cloture vote on the Munley nomination, the Senate will recess until 2:15pm for the weekly party caucus lunches.

Two votes at 2:15pm (if cloture vote is invoked):

  1. Confirmation of the nomination of Julia Kathleen Munley to be United States District Judge for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
  2. Motion to Invoke Cloture on the nomination of Karla Ann Gilbride to be General Counsel of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission for a term of four years.

If cloture is invoked on the Gilbride nomination, a vote on confirmation of the nomination is expected during Tuesday’s session.
