The Senate convened at 10:00am.

By a vote of 96-0 the Senate adopted the Sullivan amendment #5518, as modified, to the Resolution of Advice and Consent to Ratification for (Treaty Doc. 117-1) Amendment to Montreal Protocol (“Kigali Amendment”).

By a vote of 69-27 the Senate adopted the Resolution of Advice and Consent to Ratification for (Treaty Doc. 117-1) Amendment to Montreal Protocol (“Kigali Amendment”), as amended.

By a vote of 60-37, the Senate invoked cloture on Executive Calendar #1055 Amanda Bennett, of the District of Columbia, to be Chief Executive Officer of the United States Agency for Global Media, vice Michael Pack.

By a vote of 58-38, the Senate invoked cloture on Executive Calendar #1097 Arati Prabhakar, of California, to be Director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy, vice Eric S. Lander, resigned.

The Senate stands adjourned until 10:00am September 22, 2022.

At 11:30am the Senate is expected to proceed to two roll call votes on the following:

1.      Motion to invoke cloture on the motion to proceed to Cal. #484, S.4822, DISCLOSE Act of 2022.

2.      Confirmation of Executive Calendar #1055 Amanda Bennett to be Chief Executive Officer of the United States Agency for Global Media.

At 1:45pm the Senate will proceed to a roll call vote on confirmation of Executive Calendar #1097 Arati Prabhakar, of California, to be Director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy, vice Eric S. Lander, resigned.

At 11:00am, the Senate will proceed to two roll call votes relative to the following:

  1. Motion to invoke cloture on the nomination of Jonathan Gould to be Comptroller of the Currency for a term of five years.
  2. Motion to invoke cloture on the nomination of Whitney D. Hermandorfer to be United States Circuit Judge for the Sixth Circuit.

If cloture is invoked on the Hermandorfer nomination, all post-cloture time will be considered expired, and the Senate will vote on confirmation of the nomination at a time to be determined on Monday July 14th by the Majority Leader in consultation with the Democratic Leader.

At approximately 1:45pm, if cloture is invoked, the Senate will proceed to a roll call vote on confirmation of the Gould nomination.
