The Senate will convene at 10:00am. Following Leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of the nomination of Matthew E. Orso to be United States District Judge for the Western District of North Carolina.

  • At approximately 11:15am, the Senate will proceed to a roll call vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the nomination of Matthew E. Orso to be United States District Judge for the Western District of North Carolina.
  • At approximately 2:15pm, if cloture is invoked, the Senate will proceed to two roll call votes relative to the following:
    • Confirmation of the nomination of Matthew E. Orso to be United States District Judge for the Western District of North Carolina.
    • Motion to proceed to S.J.Res.91, a joint resolution providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the Bureau of Land Management relating to “Coastal Plain Oil and Gas Leasing Program Record of Decision”.
      • If the motion to proceed is agreed to, the roll call vote on passage of the bill will occur at a time to be determined on Thursday December 4.
  • At approximately 4:30pm, the Senate is expected to proceed to a roll call vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the nomination of Susan Courtwright Rodriguez to be United States District Judge for the Western District of North Carolina.
    • If cloture is invoked on the nomination, the confirmation vote will occur at a time to be determined on Thursday December 4.
