At 11:45am, the Senate will proceed to a vote on confirmation of Executive Calendar #783, James C. O’Brien to be Head of the Office of Sanctions Coordination, with the rank of Ambassador.

There are no other votes scheduled at this time.

Floor Schedule

The Senate will reconvene at 12:00 noon on Monday, January 6, 2025. Following Leader remarks, the Senate will enter a period of morning business, during which senators may speak for up to 10 minutes each.

 

At 1:00 PM, the Joint Session of Congress will convene in the Hall of the House of Representatives, as provided under S. Con. Res. 2, for the counting of the electoral ballots. Senators attending the Joint Session will gather in the Senate Chamber at approximately 12:40 PM and proceed as a body to the Hall of the House of Representatives.

 

After the Joint Session dissolves, the Senate will reconvene and resume morning business, with senators again permitted to speak for up to 10 minutes each.
