The Senate convened at 10:00am.

By a vote of 91-7, the Senate agreed to the Motion to proceed to Cal. #198, H.R.4366, the vehicle for Appropriations Minibus.

Schumer filed cloture on Executive Calendar #265 Vernon D. Oliver, of Connecticut, to be United States District Judge for the District of Connecticut, vice Stefan R. Underhill, retired.

Schumer filed Cloture on Executive Calendar #37 Rita F. Lin, of California, to be United States District Judge for the Northern District of California, vice Edward Milton Chen, retired.

The Senate agreed to Senate Resolution 345, designating September 15th, 2023, as National Concussion Awareness Day.

The Senate adjourned at 3:28pm.

When the Senate next convenes at 3:00pm on Monday, April 13th, following Leader remarks, it will proceed to Executive Session and resume consideration of the nomination of John Thomas Shepherd to be United States District Judge for the Western District of Arkansas.

5:30pm Monday, April 13th the Senate is expected to proceed to a roll call vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the Shepherd nomination.

Cloture was filed on the following nominations:

  1. The nomination of John Thomas Shepherd to be United States District Judge for the Western District of Arkansas.
  2. The nomination of Christopher R. Wolfe to be United States District Judge for the Western District of Texas.
