By a vote of 93-2: the Senate confirmed Executive Calendar #1271 Lynne M. Tracy, of Ohio, a Career Member of the Senior Foreign Service, Class of Career Minister, to be Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to the Russian Federation.

The Senate passed by unanimous consent the following:

  • S.4439 – Katimiîn and Ameekyáaraam Sacred Lands Act
  • S.3405 – Low Power Protection Act
  • S.1541 – Martha Wright-Reed Just and Reasonable Communications Act of 2022
  • H.R.897 – Agua Caliente Land Exchange Fee to Trust Confirmation Act
  • H.R.1154 – Great Dismal Swamp National Heritage Area Act

By a vote of 68-26: the Senate confirmed the nomination of Executive Calendar #780, Agnes Schaefer, of Pennsylvania, to be an Assistant Secretary of the Army.

Leader Schumer filed cloture on the motion to concur in the House amendment to the Senate amendment to H.R.2617, Consolidated Appropriations Act FY2023, with further Senate amendment #6552.

The Senate will convene at 8:00am on Thursday, December 22, 2022 and will proceed to a roll call vote on confirmation of Executive Calendar #781 Franklin R. Parker to be an Assistant Secretary of the Navy.

Leader Schumer announced that it is his expectation that the Senate will be able to lock in an agreement on the omnibus Thursday morning.

Tonight in the Senate, Leader Schumer filed cloture on the motion to concur in the House amendment to the Senate amendment to H.R.2617, Consolidated Appropriations Act FY2023, with further Senate amendment #6552.

The Senate will convene at 10:00am on Thursday, July 10, 2025.

At 11:00am, the Senate will proceed to two roll call votes relative to the following:

  1. Motion to invoke cloture on the nomination of Jonathan Gould to be Comptroller of the Currency for a term of five years.
  2. Motion to invoke cloture on the nomination of Whitney D. Hermandorfer to be United States Circuit Judge for the Sixth Circuit.

If cloture is invoked on the Hermandorfer nomination, all post-cloture time will be considered expired, and the Senate will vote on confirmation of the nomination at a time to be determined on Monday July 14th by the Majority Leader in consultation with the Democratic Leader.

At approximately 1:45pm, if cloture is invoked, the Senate will proceed to a roll call vote on confirmation of the Gould nomination.
