Confirmed, 57-32: Executive Calendar #475 Susan Courtwright Rodriguez to be United States District Judge for the Western District of North Carolina.

The Senate stands in recess until 3:00pm on Monday, December 8^th, 2025.

At 5:30pm, the Senate will vote on the Motion to Invoke Cloture on the nomination of Robert P. Chamberlin, of Mississippi, to be United States District Judge for the Northern District of Mississippi.

Leader Thune filed cloture on the following nominations:

1. Robert P. Chamberlin, of Mississippi, to be United States District Judge for the Northern District of Mississippi.
2. William J. Crain, of Louisiana, to be United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Louisiana.
3. James D. Maxwell II, of Mississippi, to be United States District Judge for the Northern District of Mississippi.

Leader Thune sent an Executive Resolution (S. Res. 532 – a resolution authorizing the en bloc consideration in Executive Session of certain nominations on the Executive Calendar) to the desk, asked for its immediate consideration and then objected to his own request. The Executive Resolution will lie over one day.
