Senator Durbin has filed cloture on:

  1. Executive Calendar #373 Charlotte A. Burrows to be a Member of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission for a term expiring July 1, 2028. (Reappointment)
  2. Executive Calendar #310 Brandy R. McMillion to be United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Michigan.
  3. Executive Calendar #126 Monica Ramirez Almadani to be United States District Judge for the Central District of California.
  4. Executive Calendar #222 Ana de Alba to be United States Circuit Judge for the Ninth Circuit.

Cloture invoked, 59-32: Motion to invoke cloture on the nomination of Monica M. Bertagnolli to be Director of the National Institutes of Health.

The Senate will convene at 10:00am on Tuesday, November 7th, 2023.

Two votes at 11:45am:

  1. Confirmation of Executive Calendar #372 Monica M. Bertagnolli to be Director of the National Institutes of Health.
  2. Motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #28 Kenly Kiya Kato to be United States District Judge for the Central District of California.

Following the cloture vote on the Kato nomination, the Senate will recess until 2:15pm for the weekly party caucus lunches.

Two votes at 2:15pm (if cloture is invoked):

  1. Confirmation of Executive Calendar #28 Kenly Kiya Kato to be United States District Judge for the Central District of California.
  2. Motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #36 Julia E. Kobick to be United States District Judge for the District of Massachusetts.

Two votes at 5:30pm (if cloture is invoked):

  1. Confirmation of Executive Calendar #36 Julia E. Kobick to be United States District Judge for the District of Massachusetts.
  2. Motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #38 Ramon Ernesto Reyes, Jr. to be United States District Judge for the Eastern District of New York.

When the Senate next convenes at 3:00pm on Monday, April 13th, following Leader remarks, it will proceed to Executive Session and resume consideration of the nomination of John Thomas Shepherd to be United States District Judge for the Western District of Arkansas.

5:30pm Monday, April 13th the Senate is expected to proceed to a roll call vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the Shepherd nomination.

  2. The nomination of Christopher R. Wolfe to be United States District Judge for the Western District of Texas.
