Confirmed, 49-48 with Vice President Harris casting the tie breaking vote: Executive Calendar #13 Margaret R. Guzman to be United States District Judge for the District of Massachusetts.

Invoked by a vote of 53-43: Motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #24 Colleen R. Lawless to be United States District Judge for the Central District of Illinois.

The Senate invoked cloture by a vote of 52-44 on Executive Calendar #35 Jonathan James Canada Grey to be United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Michigan.

By a vote of 50-46, H.J.Res.30 – Providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the Department of Labor relating to “Prudence and Loyalty in Selecting Plan Investments and Exercising Shareholder Rights” is passed.

By a vote of 51-45, the Senate invoked cloture on Executive Calendar #39 James Edward Simmons, Jr. to be United States District Judge for the Southern District of California.

The Senate will convene at 10:00am March 2, 2023.

Following Leaders’ remarks, the Senate will proceed to executive session to resume consideration of Executive Calendar #24 Colleen R. Lawless, of Illinois, to be United States District Judge for the Central District of Illinois, vice Sue E. Myerscough, retiring.

At 11:30am the Senate will vote on the following:

  1. Confirmation of Executive Calendar #24 Colleen R. Lawless, of Illinois, to be United States District Judge for the Central District of Illinois.
  2. Motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #40 Gordon P. Gallagher, of Colorado, to be United States District Judge for the District of Colorado, vice William Joseph Martinez, retiring.

Following these votes, the Senate will recess until 1:45pm.

At 1:45pm the Senate will vote on confirmation of Executive Calendar #35 Jonathan James Canada Grey, of Michigan, to be United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Michigan, vice Denise Page Hood, retired.

The Senate will convene at 10:00am on Thursday, July 10, 2025.

At 11:00am, the Senate will proceed to two roll call votes relative to the following:

  1. Motion to invoke cloture on the nomination of Jonathan Gould to be Comptroller of the Currency for a term of five years.
  2. Motion to invoke cloture on the nomination of Whitney D. Hermandorfer to be United States Circuit Judge for the Sixth Circuit.

If cloture is invoked on the Hermandorfer nomination, all post-cloture time will be considered expired, and the Senate will vote on confirmation of the nomination at a time to be determined on Monday July 14th by the Majority Leader in consultation with the Democratic Leader.

At approximately 1:45pm, if cloture is invoked, the Senate will proceed to a roll call vote on confirmation of the Gould nomination.
