Invoked, 50-41: Motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #472 David A. Bragdon to be United States District Judge for the Middle District of North Carolina.

The Senate will convene at 10:00am on Tuesday, December 2nd, 2025.

At approximately 11:30am, the Senate will proceed to two roll call votes:

  1. Confirmation of the nomination of David A. Bragdon to be United States District Judge for the Middle District of North Carolina.
  2. Motion to Invoke Cloture on the nomination of Lindsey Ann Freeman to be United States District Judge for the Middle District of North Carolina.

Following the cloture vote on the Freeman nomination, the Senate will recess until 2:15pm for the weekly party caucus lunches.

At approximately 2:15pm (if cloture is invoked), the Senate will vote on confirmation of the nomination of Lindsey Ann Freeman to be United States District Judge for the Middle District of North Carolina.

Leader Thune filed cloture on the following nominations:

  1. Matthew E. Orso, of North Carolina, to be United States District Judge for the Western District of North Carolina.
  2. Susan Courtwright Rodriguez, of North Carolina, to be United States District Judge for the Western District of North Carolina.

Following the prayer and pledge, Senator Kaine will be recognized to deliver Washington’s Farewell address. Following the Address, the Senate will be in a period of Morning Business with Senators permitted to speak therein for up to 10 minutes each.

At 5:00pm, the Senate will proceed to a roll call vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the motion to proceed to H.R.7147, an act making further consolidated appropriations for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2026, and for other purposes.

At 8:20pm, Senators will gather in the Senate chamber to proceed as a body to the House for the State of the Union.

On Monday, February 23rd, Senator Barrasso filed cloture on the nomination of John DeLeeuw, of Texas, to be a Member of the National Transportation Safety Board for the remainder of the term expiring December 31, 2026.
