The Senate convened at 3:00pm.

Cloture Invoked, 54-40: Motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #306 Matthew James Maddox to be United States District Judge for the District of Maryland.

The Senate will convene at 10:00am on Tuesday, October 31, 2023.

Two votes at 11:30am:

  1. Executive Calendar #306 Matthew James Maddox to be United States District Judge for the District of Maryland.
  2. Motion to Invoke Cloture on Executive Calendar #370 Jacob J. Lew to be Ambassador to the State of Israel.

Following the cloture vote on the Lew nomination, the Senate will recess until 2:15pm to allow for the weekly party caucus lunches.

At 2:30pm, if cloture is invoked, the Senate will vote on confirmation of the Lew nomination.

Following the confirmation vote of the Lew nomination, the Senate will proceed to Legislative Session and will resume consideration of H.R.4366 (Minibus Appropriations).

Further votes are possible during Tuesday’s session of the Senate.
