The Senate convened at 3:00pm.

Confirmed, 66-25: Joshua Paul Kolar to be United States Circuit Judge for the Seventh Circuit.

The Senate will convene at 10:00am on Wednesday, January 31, 2024.

11:30am – 2 votes:

  1. Confirmation of Executive Calendar #471 Kirk Edward Sherriff to be United States District Judge for the Eastern District of California.
  2. Motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #311 Karoline Mehalchick to be United States District Judge for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.

Following the cloture vote on the Mehalchick nomination, the Senate will recess until 2:15pm to allow for the weekly party caucus lunches.

2:15pm (if cloture is invoked) – Two votes:

  1. Confirmation of Executive Calendar #311 Karoline Mehalchick to be United States District Judge for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
  2. Motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #142 Joseph Goffman to be an Assistant Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency.

At 5:30pm, if cloture is invoked, the Senate will proceed to a roll call vote on confirmation of Executive Calendar #142 Joseph Goffman to be an Assistant Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency.

Cloture has been filed on the following nominations:

  • Karoline Mehalchick to be United States District Judge for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
  • Joseph Goffman to be an Assistant Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency.
  • Lisa W. Wang, of the District of Columbia, to be a Judge of the United States Court of International Trade.
  • Joseph Albert Laroski, Jr., of Maryland, to be a Judge of the United States Court of International Trade.

The Senate adjourned at 6:38pm.

5:30pm Monday, April 13th the Senate is expected to proceed to a roll call vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the Shepherd nomination.

  1. The nomination of John Thomas Shepherd to be United States District Judge for the Western District of Arkansas.
  2. The nomination of Christopher R. Wolfe to be United States District Judge for the Western District of Texas.
