Leader Schumer filed cloture on the following nomination: Executive Calendar #4 Bradley N. Garcia to be United States Circuit Judge for the District of Columbia.

By a vote of 53-42, the Senate invoked cloture on Executive Calendar #71 L. Felice Gorordo to be United States Alternate Executive Director of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development for a term of two years.

The Senate will convene at 10:00am on Wednesday, May 10th, 2023.

11:30am – Two votes:

  1. Confirmation of Executive Calendar #71 L. Felice Gorordo to be United States Alternate Executive Director of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development for a term of two years.
  2. Motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #55 Glenna Laureen Wright-Gallo to be Assistant Secretary for Special Education and Rehabilitative Services, Department of Education.

Following the cloture vote on the Wright-Gallo nomination, the Senate will recess until 2:15pm for the weekly party caucus lunches.

2:30pm – Two votes:

  1. Confirmation of Executive Calendar #55 Glenna Laureen Wright-Gallo to be Assistant Secretary for Special Education and Rehabilitative Services, Department of Education (if cloture invoked).
  2. Confirmation of Executive Calendar #79 Colleen Joy Shogan to be Archivist of the United State.

At 5:30pm, the Senate will vote on confirmation of Executive Calendar #66 Geeta Rao Gupta to be Ambassador at Large for Global Women’s Issues.

At 11:00am, the Senate will proceed to two roll call votes relative to the following:

  1. Motion to invoke cloture on the nomination of Jonathan Gould to be Comptroller of the Currency for a term of five years.
  2. Motion to invoke cloture on the nomination of Whitney D. Hermandorfer to be United States Circuit Judge for the Sixth Circuit.

If cloture is invoked on the Hermandorfer nomination, all post-cloture time will be considered expired, and the Senate will vote on confirmation of the nomination at a time to be determined on Monday July 14th by the Majority Leader in consultation with the Democratic Leader.

At approximately 1:45pm, if cloture is invoked, the Senate will proceed to a roll call vote on confirmation of the Gould nomination.
