By a vote of 56-43, the Senate passed H.J.Res.42 – Disapproving the action of the District of Columbia Council in approving the Comprehensive Policing and Justice Reform Amendment Act of 2022.

The Senate will convene at 10:00am on Wednesday, May 17, 2023.

11:30am – One vote:

Motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #175 Jeremy C. Daniel to be United States District Judge for the Northern District of Illinois.

2:15pm – Two votes:

  1. Confirmation of Executive Calendar #175 Jeremy C. Daniel to be United States District Judge for the Northern District of Illinois (if cloture is invoked).
  2. Motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #177 Darrel James Papillion to be United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Louisiana.*

5:00pm – Two votes:

  1. Passage of Cal. #77, S.J.Res.18 – A joint resolution disapproving of the rule submitted by the Department of Homeland Security relating to “Public Charge Ground of Inadmissibility”.
  2. Motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #20 Nancy G. Abudu to be United States Circuit Judge for the Eleventh Circuit.

If cloture is invoked on the Papillion nomination, the confirmation vote will occur at a time to be determined by the Majority Leader in consultation with the Republican Leader.

The Senate will convene at 10:00am on Thursday, July 10, 2025.

At 11:00am, the Senate will proceed to two roll call votes relative to the following:

  1. Motion to invoke cloture on the nomination of Jonathan Gould to be Comptroller of the Currency for a term of five years.
  2. Motion to invoke cloture on the nomination of Whitney D. Hermandorfer to be United States Circuit Judge for the Sixth Circuit.

If cloture is invoked on the Hermandorfer nomination, all post-cloture time will be considered expired, and the Senate will vote on confirmation of the nomination at a time to be determined on Monday July 14th by the Majority Leader in consultation with the Democratic Leader.

At approximately 1:45pm, if cloture is invoked, the Senate will proceed to a roll call vote on confirmation of the Gould nomination.
