The Senate will convene at 10:00am on Tuesday, January 9, 2024.

At 11:45am, the Senate will vote on confirmation of John A. Kazen to be United States District Judge for the Southern District of Texas.

The Senate will recess from 12:30pm until 2:15pm to allow for the weekly party caucus meetings.

Further votes are possible during Tuesday’s session of the Senate, but are not yet scheduled.

Cloture has been filed on:

  • Jose Javier Rodriguez to be an Assistant Secretary of Labor.
  • Joseph Goffman to be an Assistant Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency.
  • S. Kato Crews to be United States District Judge for the District of Colorado.
  • Karoline Mehalchick to be United States District Judge for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.

The Senate will recess from 12:45pm until 2:15pm for the weekly caucus meetings.

If cloture is invoked, at 2:15pm, the Senate will vote on confirmation of the DeLeeuw nomination.

During Tuesday’s session, Senator Thune filed cloture on Executive Calendar #651, Ryan McCormack, of Virginia, to be Under Secretary of Transportation for Policy. This cloture motion will ripen during Thursday’s session.
