Confirmed, 54-44: Confirmation of Executive Calendar #472 Julie Simone Sneed to be United States District Judge for the Middle District of Florida.

Cloture Invoked, 77-20: Motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #469 Melissa Damian to be United States District Judge for the Southern District of Florida.

Confirmed, 77-20: Executive Calendar #469 Melissa Damian to be United States District Judge for the Southern District of Florida.

Cloture Invoked, 52-42: Motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #514 Marjorie A. Rollinson to be Chief Counsel for the Internal Revenue Service and an Assistant General Counsel in the Department of the Treasury.

The Senate will convene at 10:00am on Thursday, February 29, 2024.

At 11:30am, the Senate will proceed to two roll call votes:

  1. Confirmation of Executive Calendar #514 Marjorie A. Rollinson to be Chief Counsel for the Internal Revenue Service and an Assistant General Counsel in the Department of the Treasury.
  2. Passage of the veto message in relation to S.J.Res.38, Rubio IIJA Waiver of Buy America Requirements for EV Chargers CRA.

Further votes are possible during Thursday’s session of the Senate.

When the Senate next convenes at 3:00pm on Monday, April 13th, following Leader remarks, it will proceed to Executive Session and resume consideration of the nomination of John Thomas Shepherd to be United States District Judge for the Western District of Arkansas.

5:30pm Monday, April 13th the Senate is expected to proceed to a roll call vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the Shepherd nomination.

Cloture was filed on the following nominations:

  1. The nomination of John Thomas Shepherd to be United States District Judge for the Western District of Arkansas.
  2. The nomination of Christopher R. Wolfe to be United States District Judge for the Western District of Texas.
