The Senate convened at 3:00pm.

Cloture Invoked, 52-38: Motion to Invoke Cloture on Executive Calendar #543 Jasmine Hyejung Yoon to be United States District Judge for the Western District of Virginia.

The Senate will convene at 10:30am on Tuesday, March 12th, 2024.

Two votes at 11:30am:

  1. Confirmation of Executive Calendar #543 Jasmine Hyejung Yoon to be United States District Judge for the Western District of Virginia.
  2. Motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #541 Sunil R. Harjani to be United States District Judge for the Northern District of Illinois.

Following the cloture vote on the Harjani nomination, the Senate will recess until 2:15pm for the weekly party caucus lunches.

Two votes at 2:15pm (if cloture is invoked):

  1. Confirmation of Executive Calendar #541 Sunil R. Harjani to be United States District Judge for the Northern District of Illinois.
  2. Motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #540 Melissa R. DuBose to be United States District Judge for the District of Rhode Island.

Two votes at 5:30pm (if cloture is invoked): 

  1. Confirmation of Executive Calendar #540 Melissa R. DuBose to be United States District Judge for the District of Rhode Island.
  2. Confirmation of Executive Calendar #481 Sean Patrick Maloney to be Representative of the United States of America to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development.

5:30pm Monday, April 13th the Senate is expected to proceed to a roll call vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the Shepherd nomination.

Cloture was filed on the following nominations:

  1. The nomination of John Thomas Shepherd to be United States District Judge for the Western District of Arkansas.
  2. The nomination of Christopher R. Wolfe to be United States District Judge for the Western District of Texas.
