Senator Murray filed cloture on the motion to suspend Rule XVI for the consideration of Murray-Collins amendment #1092 to Cal. #198, H.R.4366, vehicle for Appropriations Minibus (MilCon/VA, Agriculture, T-HUD).

Cloture Invoked, 54-40: Executive Calendar #265 Vernon D. Oliver to be United States District Judge for the District of Connecticut.

The Senate will convene at 10:00am on Tuesday, September 19, 2023.

Two votes at 11:30am:

  1. Confirmation of Executive Calendar #265 Vernon D. Oliver to be United States District Judge for the District of Connecticut.
  2. Motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #37 Rita F. Lin to be United States District Judge for the Northern District of California.

Following the cloture vote on the Lin nomination, the Senate will recess until 2:15pm for the weekly party caucus lunches.

At 2:15pm, if cloture is invoked, the Senate will proceed to a roll call vote on confirmation of Executive Calendar #37 Rita F. Lin to be United States District Judge for the Northern District of California.

At 11:00am, the Senate will proceed to two roll call votes relative to the following:

  1. Motion to invoke cloture on the nomination of Jonathan Gould to be Comptroller of the Currency for a term of five years.
  2. Motion to invoke cloture on the nomination of Whitney D. Hermandorfer to be United States Circuit Judge for the Sixth Circuit.

If cloture is invoked on the Hermandorfer nomination, all post-cloture time will be considered expired, and the Senate will vote on confirmation of the nomination at a time to be determined on Monday July 14th by the Majority Leader in consultation with the Democratic Leader.

At approximately 1:45pm, if cloture is invoked, the Senate will proceed to a roll call vote on confirmation of the Gould nomination.
