Confirmed, 51-45: Confirmation of Executive Calendar #19 Howard Lutnick to be Secretary of Commerce.

Agreed to, 50-47: Motion to proceed to S.Con.Res.7, a concurrent resolution setting forth the congressional budget for the United States Government for fiscal year 2025 and setting forth the appropriate budgetary levels for fiscal years 2026 through 2034.

The Senate will convene at 10:00am on Wednesday, February 19 and will resume consideration of S.Con.Res.7, a concurrent resolution setting forth the congressional budget for the United States Government for fiscal year 2025 and setting forth the appropriate budgetary levels for fiscal years 2026 through 2034.

At 12:00pm noon, the Senate will proceed to a roll call vote on confirmation of Executive Calendar #20 Kelly Loeffler to be Administrator of the Small Business Administration.

Following the Loeffler vote, the Senate will recess until 2:15pm for the weekly party caucus lunches.

On Tuesday, February 18, Leader Thune filed cloture on the nomination of Kashyap Patel to be Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Under the regular order, the confirmation vote will occur one hour after the Senate convenes on Thursday, February 20.
