The Senate convened at 10:00am.

Confirmed, 52-46: Confirmation of Executive Calendar #20 Kelly Loeffler to be Administrator of the Small Business Administration.

The Senate will convene at 10:00am on Thursday, February 20 and will resume consideration of S.Con.Res.7, a concurrent resolution setting forth the congressional budget for the United States Government for fiscal year 2025 and setting forth the appropriate budgetary levels for fiscal years 2026 through 2034.

At 11:00am, the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the nomination of Kashyap Patel to be Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

If cloture is invoked on the Patel nomination, the Senate will vote on confirmation of the nomination at approximately 1:45pm.

Following the confirmation vote on Patel, the Senate is expected to resume consideration of S.Con.Res.7 and the vote-a-rama is expected to begin late afternoon/evening on Thursday.

When the Senate next convenes at 3:00pm on Monday, April 13th, following Leader remarks, it will proceed to Executive Session and resume consideration of the nomination of John Thomas Shepherd to be United States District Judge for the Western District of Arkansas.

5:30pm Monday, April 13th the Senate is expected to proceed to a roll call vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the Shepherd nomination.

Cloture was filed on the following nominations:

  1. The nomination of John Thomas Shepherd to be United States District Judge for the Western District of Arkansas.
  2. The nomination of Christopher R. Wolfe to be United States District Judge for the Western District of Texas.
