Confirmed 62-30: Confirmation of the nomination John Phelan to be Secretary of the Navy.

Confirmed, 61-30: Confirmation of the nomination of Christopher Landau to be Deputy Secretary of State.

The Senate will convene at 10:00am on Tuesday, March 26, 2025.

At 12:00 Noon, the Senate will vote on the Motion to Invoke Cloture on the nomination of Michael Kratsios to be Director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy.

Following the cloture vote on Kratsios, the Senate will recess until 2:15pm for the weekly party caucus lunches.

At 2:15pm (if cloture is invoked), the Senate will proceed to two roll call votes:

  1. Confirmation of the nomination of Michael Kratsios to be Director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy.
  2. Motion to Invoke Cloture on the nomination of Jayanta Bhattacharya to be Director of the National Institutes of Health.

Cloture has been filed on the following nominations:

  1. Martin Makary to be Commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration.
  2. James Bishop to be Deputy Director of the Office of Management and Budget.
  3. Aaron Reitz to be Assistant Attorney General.
  4. Michael Faulkender to be Deputy Secretary of the Treasury.

The Senate will convene at 10:00am on Thursday, April 30th. Following Leader Remarks, the Senate will be in a period of Morning Business with Senators permitted to speak therein for up to ten minutes each.

At approximately 11:30am, the Senate is expected to vote on the motion to invoke cloture on S.Res.690, an executive resolution authorizing the en bloc consideration in Executive Session of (49) certain nominations on the Executive Calendar.  If cloture is invoked on S.Res.690, all post-cloture time will be considered expired and the Senate will vote on adoption of the resolution at a time to be determined by the Majority Leader, in consultation with the Democratic Leader, no earlier than Friday, May 1st.

At approximately 1:45pm, a roll call vote on the motion to discharge S.J.Res 184, A joint resolution to direct the removal of United States Armed Forces from hostilities within or against the Islamic Republic of Iran that have not been authorized by Congress from the Senate Foreign Relations Committee (Schiff) is expected.
