Cloture Invoked, 61-39: Executive Calendar #4 Kristi Noem to be Secretary of Homeland Security.

The Senate will convene at 9:30am on Saturday, January 25, 2025.

Two votes at 11:30am:

  1. Confirmation of Kristi Noem to be Secretary of Homeland Security.
  2. Motion to Invoke Cloture on Scott Bessent to be Secretary of the Treasury.

If cloture is invoked on the Bessent nomination, there will be two votes at 5:30pm on Monday, January 27:

  1. Confirmation of the Bessent nomination.
  2. Motion to Invoke Cloture on Sean Duffy to be Secretary of Transportation.

If cloture is invoked on the Duffy nomination, the Senate will vote on confirmation at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, January 28.

At 2:15pm on Tuesday, January 28, the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the motion to proceed to H.R.23 – Illegitimate Court Counteraction Act.
