The Senate convened at 3:00pm.

Cloture Invoked, 52-46: Executive Calendar #125 Charles Kushner to be Ambassador to the French Republic, and to serve concurrently and without additional compensation as Ambassador to the Principality of Monaco.

Confirmed, 51-45: Executive Calendar #125 Charles Kushner to be Ambassador to the French Republic, and to serve concurrently and without additional compensation as Ambassador to the Principality of Monaco.

Cloture Invoked, 66-32: Motion to invoke cloture on the motion to proceed to S. 1582, GENIUS Act.

The Senate will convene at 10:00am on Tuesday, May 20, 2025.

Following Leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of the motion to proceed to S. 1582, GENIUS Act, post-cloture.

The Senate will recess from 12:30pm until 2:15pm for the weekly party caucus lunches.

Floor Schedule

The Senate will convene at 10:00am and resume consideration of Executive Calendar #735, Sheria Akins Clarke, of South Carolina, to be United States District Judge for the District of South Carolina.

At 11:45am, the Senate will proceed to a roll call vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the Clarke nomination.

Following the cloture vote, the Senate will recess until 2:00pm for the weekly conference meetings.

At 2:15pm, if cloture is invoked, the Senate will proceed to two roll call votes on the following:

  1. Confirmation of the Clarke nomination.
  2. Motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #737, Evan Rikhye, of the Virgin Islands, to be Judge for the District Court of the Virgin Islands for a term of ten years.

Further roll call votes are expected during Tuesday’s session of the Senate.
