Cloture Invoked, 51-45: Motion to Invoke Cloture on Michael Duffey to be Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment.

The Senate will convene at 10:00am on Tuesday, June 3rd, 2025.

Two votes at 11:30am:

  1. Confirmation of Michael Duffey to be Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment.
  2. Motion to Invoke Cloture on Allison Hooker to be an Under Secretary of State (Political Affairs).

Following the cloture vote on the Hooker nomination, the Senate will recess until 2:15pm to allow for the weekly party caucus lunches.

Two votes at 2:15pm (if cloture is invoked):

  1. Confirmation of Allison Hooker to be an Under Secretary of State (Political Affairs).
  2. Motion to Invoke on Dale Marks to be an Assistant Secretary of Defense.

Leader Thune filed cloture on the following nominations:

  1. Michelle Bowman, of Kansas, to be Vice Chairman for Supervision of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System for a term of four years.
  2. Edward Walsh, of New Jersey, to be Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to Ireland.
  3. James O’Neill, of California, to be Deputy Secretary of Health and Human Services.
