Invoked, 50-46: Motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #130 Rodney Scott to be Commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Department of Homeland Security.

Confirmed, 53-45: Confirmation of Executive Calendar #99 Olivia Trusty to be a Member of the Federal Communications Commission for a term of five years from July 1, 2025. (Reappointment)

Confirmed, 51-46: Confirmation of Executive Calendar #130 Rodney Scott to be Commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Department of Homeland Security.

Leader Thune filed cloture on the following: EC #138 Daniel Zimmerman to be an Assistant Secretary of Defense; EC #140 Paul Dabbar to be Deputy Secretary of Commerce; and EC #93 Kenneth Kies to be an Assistant Secretary of the Treasury.

The Senate will convene on Tuesday, March 10th at 10:00 a.m.

 

At 12:00 Noon, the Senate will vote on confirmation of Lt. Gen. Joshua M. Rudd to be General in the Army.

 

Upon disposition of the Rudd nomination, the Senate will recess until 2:15 p.m. to allow for the weekly caucus meetings.

 

At 2:15 p.m., the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the Scott (SC )-Warren substitute amendment #4308 to H.R.6644, Housing for the 21st Century Act.
