The Senate convened at 10:00am.

Invoked, 50-45: Motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #64, Jonathan Gould to be Comptroller of the Currency for a term of five years.

Invoked, 51-43: Motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #261 Whitney D. Hermandorfer to be United States Circuit Judge for the Sixth Circuit.

Leader Thune filed cloture on the following: EC #65 Luke Pettit to be an Assistant Secretary of the Treasury; EC #134 Anthony Tata to be Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel & Readiness; and EC #184 Joseph Edlow to be Director of United States Citizenship and Immigration Services, Department of Homeland Security.

The Senate adjourned at 2:40pm.

The Senate will convene at 10:00am on Tuesday, March 17th.

 

At 11:30am, the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the nomination of Anna St. John to be United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Louisiana.

 

Following the vote, the Senate will recess until 2:15pm for the weekly party caucus lunches.

 

At 2:15pm (if cloture is invoked), the Senate will vote on confirmation of the nomination of Anna St. John to be United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Louisiana.

 

Additional votes are possible during Tuesday’s session of the Senate.
