Leader Thune filed Cloture on Executive Calendar #37 Mark Meador, of Virginia, to be a Federal Trade Commissioner for the term of seven years from September 26, 2024, vice Lina M. Khan, term expired.

Confirmed, 54-45: Confirmation of Executive Calendar #56 Elbridge Colby to be Under Secretary of Defense for Policy.

Invoked, 67-32: Motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #54 George Glass to be Ambassador to Japan.

Confirmed, 66-32: Confirmation of Executive Calendar #54 George Glass to be Ambassador to Japan.

Cloture Invoked, 53-46: Executive Calendar #67 Mike Huckabee to be Ambassador to the State of Israel.

Invoked, 52-44: Motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #68 Ronald Johnson to be Ambassador to the United Mexican States.

Invoked, 51-42: Motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #66 Kevin Cabrera to be Ambassador to the Republic of Panama.

The Senate will convene at 10:00am on Tuesday, December 2nd, 2025.

 

At approximately 11:30am, the Senate will proceed to two roll call votes:

  1. Confirmation of the nomination of David A. Bragdon to be United States District Judge for the Middle District of North Carolina.
  2. Motion to Invoke Cloture on the nomination of Lindsey Ann Freeman to be United States District Judge for the Middle District of North Carolina.

 

Following the cloture vote on the Freeman nomination, the Senate will recess until 2:15pm for the weekly party caucus lunches.

At approximately 2:15pm (if cloture is invoked), the Senate will vote on confirmation of the nomination of Lindsey Ann Freeman to be United States District Judge for the Middle District of North Carolina.
