The Senate will convene at 10am on Thursday, May 12, 2022.

At approximately 12:00pm, the Senate will proceed to two roll call votes:

  1. Motion to discharge the nomination of Mary T. Boyle to be a Commissioner of the Consumer Product Safety Commission, from the Commerce Committee.
  2. Confirmation of the nomination of Susan Tsui Grundmann to be a Member of the Federal Labor Relations Authority.

At approximately 1:45pm, the Senate is expected to proceed to a roll call vote on confirmation of the nomination of Jerome H. Powell to be Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System for a term of four years.

It is possible the Senate will have votes today on H.R.7691, a bill making emergency supplemental appropriations for assistance for the situation in Ukraine for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2022, and for other purposes

Agreed to by a vote of 51-50 with Vice President Harris casting the final vote: Motion to discharge from Commerce PN1542 Mary T. Boyle to be a Commissioner of the Consumer Product Safety Commission for a term of seven years from October 27, 2018.

Confirmed by a vote of 50-49: Confirmation of Executive Calendar #718 Susan Tsui Grundmann to be a Member of the Federal Labor Relations Authority for a term of five years expiring July 1, 2025.

By a vote of 80-19 the nomination is confirmed: Executive Calendar #807 Jerome H. Powell, of Maryland, to be Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System for a term of four years. (Reappointment)

The Senate stands adjourned until 3:00pm Monday, May 16, 2022.  Following Leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of the motion to proceed to Calendar #368, a bill to provide aid to Ukraine.

At 5:30pm, the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the motion to proceed to the bill.
