The Senate will convene at 3:00pm Monday, May 16, 2022.  Following Leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of the motion to proceed to Calendar #368, a bill to provide aid to Ukraine.

At 5:30pm, the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the motion to proceed to the bill.

Invoked, 81-11: Motion to invoke cloture on the motion to proceed to H.R.7691, making emergency supplemental appropriations for assistance for the situation in Ukraine.

The Senate will convene at 2:30pm on Tuesday, May 17, 2022.

At 10:30am, the Senate will proceed as a body to the House of Representatives for a Joint Session of Congress with the Prime Minister of Greece.

Senate Democrats will hold their lunch and stakeout on Wednesday, May 18, 2022. 

When the Senate convenes at 2:30pm,  the Senate will resume consideration of the motion to proceed to H.R.7691 (A bill making emergency supplemental appropriations for assistance for the situation in Ukraine for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2022, and for other purposes), post-cloture.

At 4:00pm, the Senate will proceed to four roll call votes:

  1. Motion to Proceed to H.R.7691 (A bill making emergency supplemental appropriations for assistance for the situation in Ukraine for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2022, and for other purposes).
  2. Motion to Invoke Cloture on Executive Calendar #798 Jennifer Louise Rochon, of New York, to be United States District Judge for the Southern District of New York, vice George B. Daniels, retired.
  3. Motion to Invoke Cloture on Executive Calendar #802 Trina L. Thompson, of California, to be United States District Judge for the Northern District of California, vice Phyllis J. Hamilton, retired.
  4. Motion to Invoke Cloture on Executive Calendar #799 Sunshine Suzanne Sykes, of California, to be United States District Judge for the Central District of California, vice James V. Selna, retired.

Leader Schumer is expected to file cloture on H.R.7691 (Ukraine supplemental) tomorrow. The intervening day will be Wednesday, May 18, 2022, and the Senate is expected to vote on final passage on Thursday, May 19, 2022.

On Monday, May 16, 2022, Leader Schumer filed cloture on the following nominations:

  1. Executive Calendar #847, Barbara A. Leaf to be an Assistant Secretary of State (Near Eastern Affairs).
  2. Executive Calendar #687, Elizabeth Schoff Watson to be an Assistant Secretary of Labor.
