The Senate will convene at 10:00am Thursday, May 19, 2022.  Following Leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of Cal. #368, H.R.7691, Ukraine Supplemental Aid Package.

At 11:30am the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on H.R. 7691, Ukraine Supplemental Aid Package.

If cloture is invoked, the Senate will proceed to an immediate vote on passage of H.R. 7691

At 1:45pm the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the motion to proceed on Calendar #344, S.4008, Small Business COVID Relief Act of 2022.

If cloture is not invoked the Senate will vote on cloture of Executive Calendar #855 Stephanie Dawkins Davis, of Michigan, to be United States Circuit Judge for the Sixth Circuit, vice Helene N. White, retiring.

By unanimous consent, the Senate passed HR 3525 – Establish a Congressional Commission on the creation of the first Asian American History and Culture Museum.

By unanimous consent, the Senate passed S. 2490 – Blackwell School National Historic Site Act, as amended.

By unanimous consent, the Senate passed H.R.7791 – To amend the Child Nutrition Act of 1966 to establish waiver authority to address certain emergencies, disasters, and supply chain disruptions, and for other purposes (re: the baby formula crisis).

The Senate confirmed the following nominations by voice vote:

  1. Executive Calendar #811 Rebecca Eliza Gonzales to be Director of the Office of Foreign Missions, with rank of Ambassador.
  2. Executive Calendar #888 Flor Romero to be a Member of the Board of Directors of the Corporation for National and Community Service for a term expiring December 1, 2025.
  3. Executive Calendar #889 Christine M. Kim to be a Member of the National Council on the Humanities for a term expiring January 26, 2026.
  4. Executive Calendar #890 Karen Ann Stout to be a Member of the National Council on the Humanities for a term expiring January 26, 2026.

The Senate completed the Rule 14 process to place the following bills on the Legislative Calendar of Business:

  1. H.R.350, Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act
  2. H.R.7790,Infant Formula Supplemental Appropriations Act
  3. H.R.7688, Consumer Fuel Price Gouging Prevention Act
  4. S.4261, FORMULA Act

The Senate will convene for a pro forma session at 1:45pm on Monday, May 23, 2022.

The Senate will next convene at 10:00am on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 and will recess from 12:30pm until 2:15pm to allow for the weekly party caucus lunches.

At 2:30pm on Tuesday, the Senate will proceed to two roll call votes:

  1. Confirmation of Executive Calendar #855 Stephanie Dawkins Davis, to be United States Circuit Judge for the Sixth Circuit.
  2. Motion to Invoke Cloture on Executive Calendar #896 Dara Lindenbaum to be a Member of the Federal Election Commission for a term expiring April 30, 2027.
